From hand knit sweaters, expertly crafted jewelry to whittled toys, Vermont artists use ingenious materials, creativity, and a lot of hard

across the state, whether you are near Montpelier, Jericho, Charlotte, Bennington, Cabot, Rutland, Burlington, or Island Pond...there is sure to
be market nearby.
Once you have reached a nearby market, grab a freshly made raspberry bar, a cup of mulled cider and take your time to breathe in the aroma,
take in the sights, and enjoy a tradition that many Vermonters experience every week.
In addition to the farmer's markets, in almost any season, Vermont has juried craft shows where many local artists showcase their creations.
Here vendors will exhibit their original artwork, sculptures, pottery, hand knits, and more.
In addition to the phenomenal crafts, there are always demonstrations, specialty foods, and live music to get you a-movin'! With a mix of
traditional crafts, folk art, fine art, and contemporary crafts there is always something for everyone at these shows.
There will be much to look at, touch, and explore...so plan plenty of time, sample all the delicious goodies that are so tempting, and find a
treasure that you can't resist. Speaking from experience, it will be very hard to limit yourself to just one treasure!
So if you are in Vermont, take in the great farmer's markets, craft shows and find a piece of Vermont to take home with you. Or...just find a
pint of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream!
